If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.

Matej Danter is a systems analyst holding a M.S in Math. and Comp. Sci. currently employed at New Mexico State University(NMSU). Matej (Matyas) Danter, Hungarian by tongue and culture, grew up in the south-western region of Slovakia, in a Hungarian community.

The thoughts and ideas found in this blog (however cool they might be) are not in any way affiliated with Matej’s employer (NMSU), and NMSU is not liable and cannot be held accountable in any way for any of them.
Now that we got through the feeble attempt to speak legaleze.

Matej is interested in

  • creating enterprise web applications in JEE and PHP-OOP (which sometimes counts as enterprise)
  • distributed systems using homogeneous and heterogeneous environments (WS, et al.)
  • cryptographic algorithms and their implementation

He enjoys

  • finding and fixing bugs and security holes in his own and other people’s source code
  • creating reusable & lightweight components to automate development tasks
  • profiling web applications and tuning their performance
  • learning about and educating people about software development best- practices
  • planning and creating clear design documentation before implementation
  • writing clear and well structured source  code
  • reading clearly written and maintainable source code
  • being efficient while working so that he spends less time in front of his computer
  • taking his glasses off, stepping away from his computer and engaging in cooking, eating, hiking, running, and sometimes even socializing

Matej believes that certain concepts should be “Intuitively obvious to the casual reader”, thus this blog’s purpose is to share some documentation that he pieced together, needed more clarity, or he could not find on the web.

This is also a place for publishing some of Matej’s open- source projects, mainly in PHP-OOP.
